Here’s a summary on what is expected from Parent Mentors:
First, you’re doing the students in your child’s classroom a BIG favor. So thank you even just for considering it.
Second, volunteering will take ~60 minutes every session. Please account for a little bit more time in the first few sessions as you get acquainted with program protocols and other school stuff. Other than this adjustment period however, 60 minutes per session is all there is.
Activities will be pre-planned, and the structions along with the supplies will be provided. Before your scheduled Cart Day, come back to this website and go to Resources >> For Parent Mentors >> STEM activities. Each file will have your project name, materials needed, and other special instructions (if there’s any).
